When his former colleague DI Carol Farman (Bronagh Waugh) enlists his help with a murder case, retired DI Alex Ridley returns to assist. Together they investigate the murder of a farmer with ties to the unsolved disappearance of a child over a decade earlier. The episodes are: 'The Peaceful Garden', 'Hospitality', 'Swansong' and 'The Numbered Days'.
