Brittijulkaisu.Box set of 3 Seventies horror films. In The Uncanny (1977) Wilbur Gray (Peter Cushing) is a seemingly eccentric old author who presents his publisher with his latest manuscript. In it Gray claims that cats are the true rulers of Earth, and in the three ensuing stories he expounds this feline theory. In the first story a long-suffering young maid kills the harridan-like mistress of the house, only to be avenged by the old ladys ever-loyal cats. In the second story a familys life is turned upside down when a woman staying with them turns out to be a witch, accompanied by her sinister black cat. In the final tale, a cat exerts a horrifying revenge on its sadistic owner. In The Monster (1975) new parents Lucy and Gino Carlesi want only the best for their newborn child But their baby boy has something of the night about him, filled with an inexplicable hatred. The freak child develops quickly becoming super strong. Despite the babys presence at the site of various deaths, the doctors refuse to believe the child can be implicated. Only Sister Albana (Eileen Atkins) senses the evil within the tiny tot. Whilst Hands of the Ripper (1971) Anna (Angharad Rees) is unknowingly the daughter of Jack the Ripper, and as a child witnessed the death of her mother at her evil fathers hands. Some fifteen years later the young woman has become terribly troubled by something and enters strange violent trances. Her case is assigned to psychiatrist Dr Pritchard (Eric Porter) who believes he can cure Anna, but as he uncovers her violent memories and her murderous behaviour is unleashed he starts to fear that the case is spiralling out of control.Hammer HorrorAmicus
