Bergs Potter Pot Simona Pink

Beautiful, rustic clay pot in pink from Danish Bergs Potter. The Simona pot, so-called 'La Petite Française' is a romantic Parisian pot whose popularity was at its peak in the 1820s-1860s. It was first created in Paris' Quartier Latin, but unfortunately the original artist's name remains a mystery. Today, the potters of Bergs Potter makes the pot in a small village near Lucca in Tuscany.It is possible to plant directly in the pot because it has a drainage hole in the bottom and a saucer that collects leftover water. In case of handprints or irregularities in the clay, soak before planting. The pots are made by hand which means differences can occur and no pot is the same as the other. Simona Pink is available in two sizes.
