British comedy drama written and directed by Ben Sharrock. The film follows the plight of Syrian refugee Omar (Amir El-Masry), who finds himself on a remote Scottish island awaiting the outcome of his application for political asylum. A talented musician, Omar is encouraged to perform at the island's open mic nights, while attempting to adjust to his new surroundings with the help of cultural-awareness classes.
