The directorial debut of Bill Forsyth ('Gregory's Girl', 'Local Hero') in which a group of Glaswegian youths steal some stainless steel sinks, but have trouble trying to sell them. The original soundtrack to the film was deemed too difficult to be understood by the American market so it was overdubbed, replacing the actors' Glasgow accents with those of Edinburgh actors. The DVD release contains the restored version of the film that uses this dubbed version.
