Classic Japanese samurai action directed by Tadashi Imai. Poor samurai Ezaki Shinpachi (Kinnosuke Nakamura) is insulted by the heir to the wealthy Okumo clan and then challenged to an illegal duel which results in his victory and the heir's death. Declared insane, he seeks sanctuary in a monastery, but Shume Okumo (Tetsurô Tanba), the clan's new heir, swears revenge. Yoshiko Mita also stars.
