A very stylish mortar in cast iron. Here you have a wonderful mortar in black cast iron, specially adapted for Swedish cooking. The mortar is nicely designed and carefully cast for optimal use. It is coated with burned-in vegetable oil, which gives it such a lovely finish. It is perfectly suited to display directly on the table if you have made fresh pesto in it and then becomes an ornament in any home.CareAlways wash your cast iron items by hand with hot water without detergent. DO NOT use dishwasher!Then dry by heating the pan on the stovetop. Store dry.For rough cleaning of the mortar, cover the bottom of the pan with coarse salt. Heat the pan at a high temperature for 1 – 2 minutes, then pour off the salt and dry the pan with paper. The product takes on a gray shade, which means that it is fine to burn the product in with new rapeseed oil:Dry the product and apply a thin (a few drops) layer of rapeseed oilPlace the product on high heat on the stove or alternatively in the oven (products with wooden details must not be placed in the oven)After 10-15 minutes the oil has burned in and the product is black againIf food remains are burnt on, the pans can be cleaned with svinto or similar, after which the frying pan should be burned in again.
