Kayije Kagame and Guslagie Malanda star in this French drama directed by Alice Diop. Pregnant professor and novelist Rama (Kagame) travels to Saint-Omer to attend the trial of Laurence Coly (Malanda), who is accused of infanticide for leaving her daughter on a beach to be swept away by the sea. As the trial progresses, Rama finds herself identifying more and more with Laurence.
