Reon Driftbox is a range of mad little analogue synths, and this is the top model, the Driftbox SE. - Two DCOs with seven waveforms which can each modulate the other (!) or the filter etc.- A lovely 12dB/oct analogue Steiner-Parker filter- AD/ASR envelope- A nicely engineered joystick that can control filter cutoff, oscillator pitch or both at once- Can be played via MIDI or CV/gate, or using the built-in trigger button- All the analogue connections are on minijacks so it plays nicely with Eurorack- The two oscillators can play in unison or four-voice paraphonic- Great for beautiful, haunting, pure synth tones, absolute screaming cross-modulated mayhem, or anything in between. :)A few years ago I visited the eccentric little music shop in Osaka where these things are made. I played a Driftbox SE and I loved it, but it cost over 650 plus tax and import fees, and I didnt have the money to buy one. A couple of years later Korg imported a few Driftbox SEs into Europe. They were considering selling them through their distribution network, but they decided not to, and they sold the few SEs they had via eBay. I bought two, and I used them together on one project (the main melody on this track: https://scarredforlife.bandcamp.com/track/handspan-whats-in-the-box). I still love them, but really I dont need two! So Im keeping one and selling the other.So... this synth is four years old but its in perfect condition. It was used once, then stored in its box in my non-smoking, pet-free studio. I stuck the little rubber feet on the bottom, otherwise its brand new! It comes with the original box, instructions and EU power supply.Its a rare, interesting and fun synth, quite hard to find in Europe, and if you want to import one from Japan it will cost you a LOT more than my asking price. :)Im interested in trades, especially for a Strymon Nightsky, Instruo Saich or OXI One.Im happy to ship it registered within the EU at buyers expense, or youre welcome to collect it from Joensuu, Finland.
