At the Blue Ribbon Laundry factory a monstrous industrial press, known as The Mangler, is on a killing spree after an old lady is caught up in the machine and then spat out...dead. The cops say it is a tragic accident and the Laundry boss says it is just a temporary fault. But when another death occurs, one of the police officers realises it is no accident and sets out to find out the truth.
